Dentinox N helps soothe the pain caused by teething and soothes the irritation of the baby’s gums.
Teething is accompanied by the pressure of the erupting tooth on the connective and bone tissue, which causes severe pain in the baby. In such a situation, the best solution is the easy-to-use, relieving Dentinox N gel. Thanks to the chamomile extract, the gel has analgesic, cooling and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, it is supported with xylitol, which inhibits the formation of caries.
In case of inflammation during teething, simply apply a portion of Dentinox gel on your finger and gently massage the substance into the baby’s gums.
Composition
The active substances are: Chamomillae tinctura (chamomile tincture) (1:4-4.5), Extractant ethanol 70% (V/V), Lidocaini hydrochloridum (lidocaine hydrochloride), Macrogoli aether laurilicum (macrogol lauryl ether), ethanol content in productions max 9.5%.
10 g of gel contains: 1500 mg Chamomillae tinctura (chamomile tincture) (1:4-4.5), extractant ethanol 70% (V/V), 34 mg Lidocaini hydrochloridum (lidocaine hydrochloride), 32 mg Macrogoli aether laurilicum (macrogol lauryl ether), ethanol content in production max 9.5%.
Excipients: carbomer (934 P), levomenthol, disodium edetate, sodium hydroxide 10%, polysorbate 20, propylene glycol, sodium saccharin, non-crystallizing liquid sorbitol, purified water, xylitol.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Use the medicine for a short time in the event of acute teething symptoms, lubricate the gums with a small amount of gel (the size of a pea) using a clean finger or a cotton stick and massage lightly.
If you apply the gel with your finger, wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the gel. This activity should be repeated 2-3 times a day, especially after eating or after performing oral hygiene procedures before going to bed.
Action
The substances contained in Dentinox have a cooling, anti-inflammatory and local anesthetic effect. The content of lidocaine may cause hypersensitivity reactions of the skin and mucous membranes, manifesting as burning and/or redness. In such a situation, stop using the preparation and contact your doctor.
Indications
Dentinox is recommended for use in the case of painful teething in infants and the eruption of wisdom teeth. Dentinox N is a topical gel for gingivitis, which relieves pain and irritation of the gums. If necessary, it can be used both during the eruption of baby teeth and molars.
The eruption of primary teeth in a child usually begins around 5-11 months of age and lasts until approximately 23-30 months of age. Taking care of the child’s oral hygiene helps to reduce the risk of disorders and complications such as severe inflammation. The most difficult and painful period helps to survive the use of Dentinox N.
Contraindications
When not to use the medicine:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, intolerance to chamomile or other plants of the Asteraceae family. Hypersensitivity reactions to chamomile are very rare. Cross-reaction may occur in people allergic to plants from the Asteraceae family.
Intolerance to lidocaine or similar local anesthetics.
Fructose intolerance.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin and mucous membranes may occur, especially related to the content of lidocaine. Hypersensitivity may manifest itself, for example, by burning or redness.
In case of hypersensitivity reactions of the skin or mucous membrane, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
Warnings and precautions
Dentinox N contains propylene glycol and sorbitol.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water or saline.
If severe redness or swelling of the gums occurs or if hypersensitivity reactions occur on the skin or mucous membranes, contact your doctor. The same applies to the occurrence of secondary accompanying symptoms.
Caution should be exercised in patients with congenital or acquired methemoglobinemia or in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency due to an increased risk of
drug-induced methemoglobinemia.
Store at temperatures below 25oC.
