“Indications
Intended Use:
Suppositories Efferalgan 300 mg are used for:
fight against fever
treatment of pain and swelling
numbness of joints
pain in muscles and bones,
headaches,
treatment of colds and flu.
Active ingredient: Paracetamol
Compound
The active ingredient is paracetamol.
1 suppository contains the active ingredient: paracetamol (Paracetamolum) at a dose of 300 mg in one suppository weighing 1.3 g.
Other ingredients of the drug: semi-synthetic glycerides.
Dosage
– Adults: most often 500-1000 mg as needed or 1-4 times a day, up to a maximum of 4000 mg per day or 1 suppository (500 mg) 2-3 times a day.
For chronic pain – 500–750 mg every 4 hours.
For cancer pain 10 mg/kg body weight/dose, often in combination with other analgesics.
– Children: on average 10-15 mg/kg body weight/dose once or at regular intervals, no more than every 4 hours.
The daily dose should not exceed 65 mg/kg body weight/day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug. Severe liver or kidney failure. The disease is alcoholism. Use with caution in patients with hepatic and renal insufficiency. Patients who fast and regularly drink alcohol are at particular risk of liver damage. Less than 5% of patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid derivatives may also be allergic to paracetamol. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding (studies have not revealed side effects when using paracetamol in recommended doses).”
