Compound
1 suppository contains: active ingredient dose: paracetamol 125 mg, excipient: vitepsol.
Action
The drug contains the active ingredient paracetamol, which has analgesic and antipyretic properties. The duration of the analgesic effect is 4-6 hours. Antipyretic effect 6-8 hours.
Dosage
HASCO Paracetamol suppositories are used rectally.
In adults, the dose is 500 mg once. The maximum daily dose of paracetamol for adults is 4.0 g for short-term treatment and 2.6 g for long-term treatment. Do not use for more than 10 days without a doctor’s recommendation.
In children, the dose is determined depending on the child’s weight (on average 10–15 mg/kg body weight once) or according to the age table below.
Single doses
3 months – 1 year – 80 mg
2-3 years – 125 mg
4-6 years – 125-250 mg
7-8 years – 250 mg
9-10 years – 250-500 mg
11-12 years – 500 mg
If necessary, the dose can be repeated every 4 hours, but not more than 4 times a day.
The drug should not be used for more than 3 days in children without consulting a doctor.
Children under 2 years of age should use the drug only as prescribed by a doctor.
If you have the impression that the effect of paracetamol XASCO is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor.
If you take more HASCO paracetamol than recommended
Severe poisoning can occur in adults after taking 10-15 g of paracetamol. Severe liver damage occurs, developing slowly and usually manifesting itself from the second day after taking the drug in toxic doses. Treatment of poisoning within 24 hours after an overdose involves administering N-acetylcysteine intravenously in 200 ml of a 5% glucose solution.
If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
If you miss a dose of paracetamol HASCO
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Contraindications
Paracetamol XASCO should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, severe liver failure or viral hepatitis, alcoholism, severe renal failure.”
