“Composition
The active substance is levodropropizine.
10 ml of syrup contains 60 mg of levodropropizin.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), citric acid monohydrate, orange flavor, liquid ORANGE 02 278 NF (contains, among others, ethanol (68-74%), fragrance composition – geraniol, citral ), purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use LevoDril for longer than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
Use in children from 2 years of age weighing:
10-20 kg – 3 ml of syrup 3 times a day.
20-30 kg – 5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.
Use in adults – 10 ml of syrup up to 3 times a day.
Action
The active substance levodropropizin has antitussive and bronchospasmodic properties.
Indications
LevoDril is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dry (non-productive) cough in adults and children from 2 years of age.
When not to use LevoDril
If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
In people with abundant bronchial secretions and impaired cilia function of the bronchial epithelium.
In pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Stop taking LevoDril and seek medical help immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms: severe cases of skin reactions, uneven heartbeat, allergic and anaphylactic reaction, hypoglycemic coma.
Very rare side effects (less than 1 in 10,000 patients): hives, erythema, stomach pain, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, shortness of breath, cough, loss or lack of strength.
Additionally, the following side effects occurred: glossitis and aphthous stomatitis with fever, inflammation caused by obstruction of bile flow from the liver, drowsiness, cases of eyelid swelling, mydriasis and loss of vision.

Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store at temperatures below 25 oC.
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
In human studies, no changes in the EEG waveform were observed when levodropropizine was administered in combination with benzodiazepines.
In particularly sensitive people, caution should be exercised when taking sedative drugs at the same time.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
For pregnant or breastfeeding women, consult your doctor before using the medicine.
The drug is contraindicated for women who are pregnant or intending to become pregnant, as well as during breastfeeding.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
LevoDril should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
Driving vehicles and machines
No studies have been conducted to assess the ability to drive and/or operate machines. However, as the drug may rarely cause drowsiness, caution should be exercised in patients who intend to drive or operate machines and should be informed of this possibility.
